Grand Father Mountain, North Carolina

In this trip we combined business and pleasure. We had a computer deal going on and it was on our way that's why we just stop by with our dogs Rocky and Bullwinkle. Grandfather Mountain is the highest peak in the Blue Ridge Mountain range (elevation 5,964 ft). My first time to be able to go to such high elevation. The Mountain is privately owned and is operated as a scenic travel attraction a globally recognized nature preserve. One ticket price includes everything.

The Mile High Swinging Bridge, was pretty cool with the 228-foot suspension bridge spans an 80-foot chasm at more than one mile in elevation. and was built to give visitors easy access to the breath-taking view from Grandfather Mountain's Linville Peak. Even though access requires climbing 50 stairs to reach the level of the Swinging Bridge.

Elvis Presley's Graceland, Memphis, Tennessee

We all know that Elvis Presley is the king of Rock 'n Roll. This facts made our mind to visit his mansion. I have heard of Elvis before because of my uncle. He loves anything that's got to do with Elvis. Elvis' Graceland is the name of the 13.8 acre estate and large white-columned mansion that once belonged to Elvis Presley, located at 3734 Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis, Tennessee. It currently serves as a museum. Elvis Presley, died at the estate on August 16, 1977, his grave, his parents Gladys and Vernon Presley, and his grandmother, are buried there in what is called the Meditation Gardens.

Calico Ghost Town, California

This trip was a little weirder. I thought this place was like abandoned yet when we went to the shop they asked us if we want coffee. Calico Ghost town is located in the Mojave Desert region of Southern California and giant letters spelling CALICO can be seen on the Calico Mountains behind the ghost town from the freeway.

Daytona 500, Daytona, Florida

I didn't know what made us go to this race. I am not a big fan of racing but I like Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr. I don't really follow the race all year. We just probably want to experience what it feel like to be in the stand. It surely was an experience.

My First New York Trip

As what I have heard that New York City (officially The City of New York) is the most populous city in the United States, with its metropolitan area ranking among the largest urban areas in the world. Founded as a commercial trading post by the Dutch, it has been the largest city in the United States, and was the first capital under the Constitution. Located on one of the world's finest natural harbors, New York is one of the world's major centers of commerce and finance.
We all heard about the September 11, 2001 incident where the "Twin towers" were being bomb and it made news throughout the whole world. Ray brought me at the ground zero and it still remind me of what happened and made me think why somebody can do such thing.
We went to the Statue of Liberty and it amazes me because it's bigger than I thought it would be.
